Shell Cordovan: The King of Leathers
Six months in the tannery, decades on the wrist. The densest, glossiest, longest-lasting leather money buys.

Shell Cordovan is cut from the hindquarters of a horse and takes six months to tan properly. The result is a non-porous, glass-smooth leather with a depth and richness that no other hide reaches. It is the most expensive material in the catalogue - and the longest-lived.
Why it works
- Roughly twice the lifespan of premium calf
- Develops a soft mirror gloss with wear, not scratches
- Doesn't crease - it rolls, smoothly and reversibly
- Holds dye to a depth that calf simply cannot match - especially in burgundy, navy and chocolate
Best paired with
Heirloom watches, anniversary pieces and any watch you intend to pass on. Burgundy Shell Cordovan on a vintage gold case is the most heritage-correct pairing on the planet.
Care in one line
Almost none. Wipe with a clean cotton cloth weekly; rolls can be smoothed with the back of a spoon if you ever feel the urge.
