How to Choose the Right Watch Strap for Your Watch
Match the strap to the case, the wrist and the wardrobe - in that order.

Choosing a strap is a small design decision with an outsized payoff. The wrong strap shrinks a watch; the right strap rebuilds it. Work through these three filters before you pull the trigger.
1. Read the case
Look at three things: the case shape, the case height, and the bezel finish. Round dressy cases love tapered straps. Tonneau and cushion cases like parallel straps that echo their angles. Polished bezels want polished-edge straps; brushed bezels look better with matte, hand-finished edges.
2. Read the dial
The dial sets the temperature of the watch. Warm dials (cream, salmon, gilt indices) want warm leathers. Cool dials (black, grey, blue) want cool leathers or fabric. The strap should support the dial, not duplicate its colour.

3. Read your week
If you are picking one strap, pick the one that survives 80% of your week. If you are picking three, build a rotation: one dressy, one casual, one bulletproof.
The default-safe move
If you are paralysed by choice: dark brown classic leather with tonal stitching. It works on almost any silver-cased watch, dresses up under a cuff, and dresses down with a tee. Then build outward from there.
